My family name being THOMPSON, my mother was a COULSON.All the family seem to come from around and about the COUNTY DURHAM area. Other names that are immediately in my family are:- HOPE, CROSSON,ALLISON,WILLIAMS and SNAITH, ......Thompsons being in SHILDON also SNAITH in the last century.The Coulsons from wherever in the NORTH EAST there was a mine for the men to work.Hopes all came from WEST AUCKLAND. Crossons were from BISHOP AUCKLAND(pictured above)as were the Williams. The Allisons I can trace back to COCKFIELD and further back to WESTMORLAND. Does any of these names ring a bell?? Get in touch!!
